so.....its all about me this week haha. I got a haircut soooo.....terrible photo of me (dude...i'm too awkward) but you get the idea. i donno how i feel about it yet. 

sigh

So....it extremely bothers me that I never have time to do blog posts. My mind is jammed with stuff I need to do....and the stuff I really want to do (blog, Trip report, wedding blurb book, upload photos to facebook...) get slammed to the back of my to do list. Really bugs me. Again I wish that for like a week I could not need sleep at all and get everything I want done. (maybe I have been reading too many bad books to get these ideas) Oh well.

This weekend was our reshoot for our wedding photos. While it was not sunny...there was no rain...which I was so grateful for. Now I have to nervously wait to see the results, because of the first photos I am panicking that these will be terrible. BLAH

Lots of stuff to do this weekend, which is shoved into one day because.......Luke has Sunday off!!!! (rarely happens) So I will be crazy this Saturday trying to get everything done. I hope the important stuff gets finished.

Today I am getting a hair cut...which I have needed for like 2 months....but haven't been able to because I had to grow it out a bit more because....I didn't realize our original wedding photos were going to be terrible. So YAY! I need it. Then back home for work work work!

Speaking of work...here is more stuff from earlier this year. These don't have names yet....because I suck at naming...soon though....

Results of hours of work

I just thought I'd post some of my weavings I did last Spring. They are done on a Digital Jacquard Loom using photography. I am taking it again this semester, its really fun. Each pieces takes about 5-8 hours to weave and about 4-6 hours to set the file up.

I draw dead animals all day

So I have a class in the Field Museum (History). its awesome and its one of my favorite classes ever...I would love more than anything to get a job drawing these.....though there's not much of a market. (I will try!) so here is a few drawings

School takes over my life

GAH! School has taken over everything. I do realize that MOST of my school stress is Jennifer imposed. WTF. I really have issues doing things the easy way.....why? I really have no idea. I just can't let things be simple. I have crazy ideas that stress me out til the point of my head exploding....so its the first full week of class and i've already freaked out. This fact annoys me, but I have to live with myself...so blah.

So one huge plus is I love all my studio classes. I knew I'd love 2 of them because i'm in the advanced version of ones I already took. Scientific Illustration and Digital Jaquard Weaving....but I still love. I am also very excited about Artist Books. I have always wanted to know how to book bind and we are learning like 20 different ways. So awesome (there will soon be lots of journals on sale in my etsy store....whenever I get that running....sigh)

Went to Renegade Craft fair last weekend. It was awesome! I spent way too much money but got some Christmas presents. which is a big plus. This weekend is our Wedding Photo Shoot. Our clothes are currently getting cleaned and steamed ready for this weekend (will not think bad things....very nervous hate not having the dress in the house) picking them up tomorrow. Did weaving last night but decided I was too tired to cut it off so no pictures yet. I am going to update some work on here because that really is the point, even though I probably can only update on Thursdays and Fridays from now on.....which BLOWS.

I love the way they came out. I am now a little nervous about the shoot this weekend. Mostly because of all the issues we had with the first. I'm such a panickier. siiiigh. I just want everything to go well. I just have to keep reminding myself....this guy is a real professional, you and Luke have seen and liked his photos, you have met with him and he is super nice. I need to chill. but I guess thats not in my genetic makeup. I am a worrier and always will be.

This is my day in a nut shell.

So....last weekend I went to LI for my sister-in-law's baby shower...but first I had a full day of Caitlin. Caitlin is my best friend and it is extremely hard to be so far away from her. Makes me so nervous for when the big move happens and how much worse it will be. Though....our friendship is so strong that we can easily pick up where we left off as if not even a day has passed. Its weird....because she is the only person I can do that with. We have a connection that I can't have with anyone else and I cherish it so much. So....not surprisingly we had  an amazing day.

so the day started out with me having to get my name changed. which was an insane headache and made me want to beat up someone. but we still went out to Montauk.

on the way we found the giant duck shop. Who knew this existed? I certainly did not and Caitlin also told me that she had dreams about it when she was little and wasn't sure if it was real. well it was. We have proof.

We swam, we laughed, we had an awesome time.

There were about 10 deer just chilling on someone's lawn.....wtf?

 

After the sunset and ice cream....we played with sparklers on the beautiful beach.

and saw these. Not these are not regular lanterns on poles (which is what Luke thought) they have candles in them and float away into the sky. Which it pretty weird. We watched someone shoot like 10 of these off and then watched as they slowly disappeared into the night.....then we wondered when and where they would come down? hmm...

Um...What?

So....i'm a little late! Lets blame Luke for this one. Laundry and then he taunted me with the thought of watching the new master chef...then we went to sleep. So I suck

mmmm....I love my new toy

So my scanner showed up yesterday!!! I was so excited I was jumping off the walls. I spent all last night scanning and finishing the bouquet! I am happy to report all flowers are done and now I just need to finish it off and wrap it in ribbon (goal for weekend!) I also have to do Luke's bout. He has requested Yellow like he was suppose to have at the wedding.....now I just need to make a little yellow flower with a pearl look manly...?

I am falling behind on everything and things are just pouring in. School started on Wed and I can already feel the pressure. In reality I am the one creating pressure...I don't really settle for less of myself and I just pile on the projects and things I must do. There better be lots of movies/shows for me to watch while I dive into my many projects this weekend. (I already have a big list!) Though I am hoping for a date night with the boy tomorrow night.

So....a little late but 2 weekends ago me and Luke went to the Renaissance fair in Bristol Wisconsin.

I drove and we stopped at Cracker Barrel.....yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum Then on to the fair.

I was beyond grossed out by the mudshow.....so here are some none gross ones. I really have a terrible gag reflex....to people eating gross stuff..

So...I had this awesome dress I wanted to wear. not accounting for the insane heat....or Luke not wanting to dress up....so this was my driving outfit that I was suppose to change out of. did not happen clearly.

so that was our day at the fair. We had fun (at least I did) doubt I will ever be able to drag Luke there again. sigh..

I suck...I forgot my usb drive and I can't post the Ren fair today (tomorrow as long as I remember).

Today my Canon scanner is back out on delivery....I am hoping I can make it home before the UPS man so I can actually have it!!! Why do they show up at 1:30? who is home at 1:30 in the afternoon? no one. thats who. btw I didn't post this but my poor scanner was stolen from my porch last week. I was so angry/upset. But amazon is sending another....i would actually like it this time!!

oh I really want a puppy already. 2 years is just going to be too long!!!! I wanted a pomeranian. Luke says no. I really wanted to name is Fizgig. BOO.

both are so cute....I can't handle it. hahaha. This is what I do when I'm bored. Look at dog photos and dream of the day I can go pick one out and snuggle with him/her.

I have been watching lots of embarrassing TV lately thanks to Megavideo (love you!) SO SO close to finishing my boquet I just need to finish it already. I cleaned the bedroom last night it was killing me how messy it was. I even went through some clothes and I'm donating them. We have laundry coming out of my ears. I wish we had a washing machine in our basement. I could throw loads in while I was doing crafts. but no we have to lug everything to the laundry mat and Luke never wants to do it. I also can't carry it easily myself. (the bag it twice the size of me! I look like an idiot)
